Our Recruitment Process
Search Discovery Call
Every search begins with what we refer to as a discovery call between a Ventura Search Professional and our client. The discovery call will cover the following:
- Review the job description and define what the “perfect” candidate profile looks like. Industry background, years of experience, cultural fit.
- Clearly define total compensation and benefits to ensure the package will be competitive and appealing to prospective candidates.
- Discuss your business and position in the industry so that we can clearly understand your go to market sales strategy and unique value proposition. We look for at least 3 differentiators that will help us attract top talent to your organization.
- Gain an understanding of your culture so that we can recruit candidates who will fit with your organizations ways of working, mission statement and core beliefs”.
- Clearly define the interview process so that all stakeholders are aligned to a timeline and common goal.
Candidate Outreach
Once Ventura has all the necessary info from the discovery call the recruiter and our research team will immediately start an extensive outreach campaign to candidates that match the “ideal candidate profile”. We traditionally review over 150 profiles and will conduct at minimum 30 interviews with the most suitable, prospective candidates.
Short List Presentation
Your time is valuable so our goal with every search is to present a short list of 3-5 candidates that best match the pre-determined, ideal candidate profile. When we present this short list you will receive a detailed presentation of each candidate with a summary of their career to date, key achievements/results, compensation history and a snapshot of their personality traits that align to culture fit.
Interview Coordination / Follow up
Ventura will work with HR and/or Sales Leaders to coordinate first round interviews in a timely fashion. Speed is at the forefront of everything we do so we encourage candidates to be interviewed within 48 hours from short list presentation.
After the first round of interviews Ventura will do a full 360 review and gather feedback on the interview from both the client and candidate. Once we determine what candidate(s) move forward in the process Ventura will help coordinate second/third/final round interviews, gathering feedback and coordinating next steps after every interview.
During this part of the interview process Ventura will be in constant communication with the client and candidate to make sure both sides are engaged and motivated to move forward in the process – constantly navigating issues and specific feedback that could derail a successful outcome.
Offer Presentation / Acceptance
Once a winning candidate has been selected/identified, Ventura will work with our client to ensure a seamless and easy offer process. We pride ourselves on making sure that this part of the process is a mere formality versus a difficult back and forth negotiation.
We believe in setting clear compensation/benefit expectations from the outset of the interview process so that the offer stage with the winning candidate can be harmonious, clean, and quick.
